Student Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with Ronald McDonald House Charities Charlottesville can be a rewarding experience for students.
Our families and staff rely on volunteers to make our Houses and programs welcoming.


We Ask Student Volunteers To:

  • Commit for 1 year, with the option to continue during your studies.

  • Attend 2 out of 3 meetings and finish 4 projects or at least 20 hours during fall and spring semesters with a $500 fundraising target.

  • Raise awareness about RMHC Charlottesville in your college/university community.

Commitments & Requirements

This program is for student freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors interested in supporting RMHC Charlottesville. Students will have the opportunity to engage in unique volunteer opportunities and initiatives independently throughout their college/university community.

Projects & Initiatives

  • Organize pantry drives and Pop Tab collections.

  • Host activity nights at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Charlottesville.

  • Organize Give-Back Nights at local restaurants and establishments.

  • Participate in the Meals from the Heart program.

  • Engage peers through speaking engagements with approved materials.

  • Organize fundraisers to support RMHC Charlottesville.
