Ronald McDonald House Charities Charlottesville Welcomes New Executive Director, Bryan Harris
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Charlottesville is thrilled to announce Bryan Harris as its new Executive Director. With a strong background in nonprofit leadership and a deep passion for helping families, Bryan is eager to raise awareness of RMHC’s mission and ensure that no parent has to worry about where to sleep or eat while their child is in the hospital.
“As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to be close to your child during a medical crisis,” Bryan said. “I want every family in our community to know that the Ronald McDonald House is here for them.”
Bryan brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit development and leadership. He most recently served as Director of Development at The Arc of the Piedmont, where he played a key role on the leadership team, advancing sustainable growth and supporting strategic initiatives. His expertise spans nonprofit events, donor relations, fundraising, marketing, and public relations.
Before his time at The Arc, Bryan was the Senior Community Director at the March of Dimes, overseeing events, campaigns, and donor engagement across a region of more than ten counties.
A dedicated leader, Bryan is committed to excellence in the nonprofit sector and is passionate about building strong, confident teams that foster lasting community impact.
Outside of work, Bryan is a devoted family man. He is married to his beautiful wife, Shea and two wonderful children, Ethan and Madison. The Harris family enjoys spending time together on trips and family outings. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys playing golf and visiting local wineries with friends and family.
Please join us in welcoming Bryan Harris to the RMHC Charlottesville family as we continue our mission to keep families close when it matters most.

Our House
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Charlottesville plays a vital role by offering a temporary home-away-from-home for families whose children are undergoing treatment for a serious illness or injury while in Charlottesville. In our ongoing effort to lessen the burdens these families face, reduce their stress levels, keep them united, and enhance the overall quality of life during such trying times, we provide affordable housing in a warm, caring, and home-like atmosphere. Each year, we proudly host between 800 and 1,000 family stays, which can range from a single overnight visit to extended stays that may last for many months. Our families come from various parts, traveling from across the state, journeying across the country, and some even coming from overseas to receive essential medical treatment for their child.
