Can you Adopt the House for a week?

Like any house, the Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville needs essentials on a weekly basis to keep everything running efficiently. We want to provide fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, bread, etc. for our families in the kitchen. We want to have enough cleaning supplies to keep things bright, cheery and healthy. We want to provide basic toiletries, like toothbrushes and toothpaste, to anyone who might need them. We could always use a hand accomplishing this goal.

This is a great way to make a substantial contribution to the House without forfeiting too much personal time. All donations are used to purchase needed household items for the families of children receiving care at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

How can I Adopt the House for a week?
Reach out to Jake Sites at jsites@rmhcharlottesville.org to arrange to Adopt the House. You can also call (434) 295-1885. You can choose to either (1) purchase items yourself or (2) donate gift cards/cash for staff to purchase needed items.

If you elect to purchase needed items yourself, Bridgette will provide you with a list of the items needed at the time you call. One week we may need an extra gallon of milk. Another week, it might be supplies for dinner on a night we don’t have a Meal from the Heart scheduled. It all depends on the needs of the House and the number of guest families.
